The project consisted of constructing two reinforced concrete padsand associated electrical infrastructure to support new outdoor, pad-mounted freezers at the Galley (Building 7) on the U.S. Naval Installation Northwest Annex, Chesapeake,Virginia. Work included subsurface utility locating, excavation, subgrade preparation, placement of structural reinforcement, and pouring of high-strength concrete to create durable equipment foundations. Protective steel bollards were installed, and the government-furnished freezers were anchored securely to the completed pads. Electrical work involved coordinating a planned power outage, installing new breakers, conduit, wiring, and weatherproof disconnects to provide dedicated power to each unit. The project team also coordinated crane operations for offloading and placement of the freezers, followed by system testing, commissioning, and final closeout to ensure full operational readiness and compliance with all specifications.
