Creeds Hill Life Saving Station Observation Tower

This project involved the construction of a life-size replica of the historic lookout tower that once stood at the 1918 Creeds Hill Station. The scope included furnishing and installing approximately 1,100 square feet of clear-grade cypress siding with a ventilated rain screen system to promote durability and moisture control. Custom-milled siding panels with a 4-inch exposure were installed alongside PVC corner trim and copper flashing for a refined, weather-resistant finish.

Our work also encompassed all Division 06 rough carpentry, including the entire wooden envelope, engineered wood structural products, structural plywood, loose connection hardware, and fasteners. Structural wood elements such as Simpson hangers and restraints were carefully installed to ensure stability and authenticity in the tower’s design. The project was completed with the installation of a 215-square-foot standing seam metal roof, uniting traditional craftsmanship with lasting performance in a faithful recreation of a historic landmark.
